Why We’re Called Luvo
The name Luvo [loo-voh] comes from “luv,” a familiar British expression of warmth and friendliness — a simple, affectionate way people across the UK often address one another, whether friends, strangers, or partners.
Our company was originally founded in Britain before bringing our events and introductions across the pond in 2007, and that spirit of warmth, conversation, and wit has shaped the way we connect people ever since.
Over the years, we've found that some of the strongest connections begin with something surprisingly simple: a shared sense of humour. It creates comfort, reveals personality, and has a way of bringing people closer together almost instantly.
